Members

Ron - Lead Vocals, GuitarBorn and raised in Wilmington, DE., Ron has been imersed in music since he was a child. Surrounded by a family of musicians, he was destined to be involved in a band in someway. Ron first became interested in the guitar through his grandfather. By the time he reached college, he was playing and singingfor anyone who would listen. Not long after, Ron first heard the music of Dave Matthews. Needless to say, he was blown away by Dave’s unorthodoxed guitar style and the “new sound” he was hearing. With every new band Ron played with, he added DMB songs as quickly as he could learn them. The more he played Dave’s songs, the more people said he should start a Dave Matthews cover band. This is when Ron joined up with Jimmy Palmer, Craig Ziccafoose, Chip Bell and David Hopkins to form “The Grey Street Band”.

Jimmy - DrumsJimmy’s dad bought him a 4 pc. drum kit when he was 13 and both his Mom and Dad encouraged him to play drums and sing. He’s been influenced by many great musicians through the years; The Beatles, Hendrix, Zappa, The Who, Todd Rundgren, Yes, The Dave Matthews Band and many more. Jimmy grew up in New Castle De. and has been fortunate enough to have been playing for over 30 years in the Tri State area with The Delfannelroys, Storm, The Peggy Toomey Band, Outlet, Sequence, Still Kickin, and Squeezbox. But playing in The Grey Street Band has allowed him to play some of the most challenging fun songs ever with tangled up and twisted hooks and arrangements. “The GSB really allows us to connect with so many other DMB fans.”  And with the love and support of Jimmy’s awesome family, He hopes to be “treading trodden trails for a long, long time.”

Dave - Sax, Vocals, HarmonicaDave grew up in Wilmington DE. He has played in multiple bands all through high school, college and throughout his graduate studies in Indiana.  As a music education major, Dave has been influenced by all genres of music and instrumentation.  Growing up listening to Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Zepplin, O.A.R., jazz, classical music and of course DMB!  He never set himself in a certain genre and stayed there.  He is a big fan of the Dave Matthews Band and thier music.  He always thought "Man, it would a dream come true to play this music live on stage!"  This band is the most challenging and the most exciting music endeavor that Dave has been involved with.  His love for the sax has driven Dave to become the best he can be, and when he brings his small army of Cannonball saxophones to the stage, Dave lets the music take over and aims to please the listeners and supporters!
